Dissolved
oxygen (DO) control is critical in aquaculture. DO, the volume of oxygen
present in water is the most critical parameter in the health of aquatic
animals. Maintenance of adequate level of dissolved oxygen in pond water is
very important to shrimp growth and
survival. Prolonged exposure to the stress of low concentration of oxygen
lowers the resistance to disease and inhibits the growth of fish/shrimp/prawn
Most
fish species grow and thrive within a DO range of 5–12 mg/L (ppm). However, if
levels drop below 4 mg/L they may stop feeding, become stressed and begin to
die.It is therefore important to continuously maintain dissolved oxygen at
optimal levels of above 3.5 ppm. OXY POOL is a unique chemical composition that
generates dissolved oxygen and absorbs noxious gases in the pond bottom. This
formulation ensures steady supply of dissolved oxygen thereby reducing the
stress of fluctuating oxygen levels. It also helps in the growth of
aerobic bacteria which decomposes harmful organic load in ponds.
Calcium Peroxide – 75%, Sodium Perborate – 25% with Binders and Effersive agents
For Shrimp: - Low oxygen level: 500 - 1000 gm /acre In molting phase: 250 -500 gm / acre For Fish: 250- 500 gm / acre (one metre depth) (or) as directed by the Aqua consultant Application: Directly broadcast the DO tablets throughout the pond.
Storage: Store in cool & dry place. Avoid direct sunlight.
